What this actually does

This pulls the real text out of your PDF (not an image of it) and places it into a genuinely editable Word document, with a page marker between each original PDF page. What it does not do is recreate the PDF's original visual layout, fonts, columns, images, or tables — you get clean, editable text content, not a visual clone. If you need the original PDF's exact look preserved, this isn't the right tool; if you need to get text out of a PDF and into something you can actually edit in Word, it is. It also only works on PDFs with real embedded text — a scanned PDF (a photo of a page saved as PDF) has no text to extract without OCR first, which this tool doesn't perform.

About the PDF to Word Converter

This tool extracts the real text content from a PDF (not an image of it) and builds a genuinely editable Word (.docx) file from it, with a page marker between each original PDF page.

What this is, and what it isn't

This is a text-extraction tool, not a layout-recreation tool: it gets you clean, editable text out of a PDF and into Word, but it does not reproduce the PDF's original visual design — fonts, columns, images, and tables from the source PDF aren't recreated. If you need to edit a PDF's actual text content in Word, this does that reliably; if you need a visually identical copy of a complex PDF layout, this isn't the right tool for that job, and no purely browser-based tool can promise that without a much heavier layout-reconstruction engine.

An important limitation

This only works on PDFs that already contain real, embedded text. A scanned PDF (a photograph of a page saved as PDF) has no text to extract without OCR (optical character recognition) first, which this tool does not perform — it will tell you plainly if no text was found rather than producing an empty or broken file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this preserve the PDF's original formatting?

No — it extracts the text content into clean, editable paragraphs with a page marker between each original page. Layout, fonts, images, and tables from the PDF aren't recreated. For that level of fidelity, dedicated desktop software is more reliable.

Does this work on scanned PDFs?

No — only PDFs with real embedded text (not a photo/scan of a page). A scanned PDF needs OCR (optical character recognition) first, which this tool doesn't perform.
